1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Yewodan, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What Yewodan Does

Yewodan (pronounced "Yeh-woh-dahn") is a shared household duty roster platform. It helps people living together — in apartments, shared houses, or any shared space — organise and rotate cleaning and garbage removal duties fairly. The platform allows:

• Roster Creators to set up duty rosters for their property address
• Participants to be added to rosters and receive turn reminders
• Automatic rotation of duties based on a configurable schedule
• Viewing of upcoming duty timelines by all roster members

3. User Roles

There are two main roles on Yewodan:

• Roster Creator: Signs up, creates rosters, adds tasks and participants, and manages rotation settings for their address.
• Participant: Added to a roster by a creator. Can view the duty timeline and their upcoming turns.

Any visitor can view a public duty roster without an account.

4. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate information when signing up
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You must verify your email address before accessing the platform
• One account per person — do not create duplicate accounts

5. Roster Creator Responsibilities

As a Roster Creator, you agree to:

• Only create rosters for addresses you are genuinely associated with
• Add participants with their knowledge and consent
• Not add duplicate participants to the same roster
• Use the platform for its intended purpose — organising household duties

6. Participant Responsibilities

As a Participant, you agree to:

• Honour your assigned duty turns in good faith
• Keep your profile information accurate
• Not misuse the platform to harass or spam other members

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Yewodan to:

• Create fake rosters or add people without their consent
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the platform
• Use the platform for any purpose other than household duty management

8. Email Notifications

By signing up, you consent to receiving transactional emails from Yewodan, including email verification, duty reminders, and account-related notifications. You can manage notification preferences in your account settings.

9. Data and Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your data. By using Yewodan, you consent to our data practices as described there.

10. Limitation of Liability

Yewodan is a tool to help coordinate household duties. We are not responsible for disputes between housemates, missed duties, or any indirect damages arising from use of the platform. The platform is provided as-is without warranties of any kind.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
